Missionaries:
Earl and Ruth Anne Haubner entered
Brazil in July of 1969 and have been serving on the foreign mission field now for over 40 years. Since 1973 they have lived in
Goiania which is the home base for CBM and is only about 3 hours from
Brasilia , the country’s capital. Marlon and Yara Brito, who are Brazilian nationals, joined CBM in 2003 when Marlon became the minister of the
Novo
Horizonte
Church , the mother church of the ministry. Marlon and Yara are being trained and discipled to lead the mission in the future.
CBM’s
Mission :
To reach others for Christ, making disciples of them and establishing and planting new churches by using trained national leadership. This ministry has grown to over 45 churches with more than 6000 members.
CBM’s Ministries:
CBM is a diverse and multifaceted ministry. The have a Bible college, Bible institute and discipleship training programs. Professional counseling services are offered as well as different support groups. CBM uses several projects to connect with people and through these projects share the love and message of Christ.
Project Grow:
This is a cultural sports program that was started to help children and teenagers deal with the social and moral issues among Brazilian children. Project Grow is reaching children and transforming their lives by using the soccer ball. This soccer program helps develop character by teaching the children Biblical principles.
Project Amazonas:
This is an Amazon boat ministry that is reaching and helping people that live in the villages along the tributaries of the Amazon. Through the dental and medical clinics on board the boat connections are made with people in these villages by meeting their physical needs and providing better health and making possible a better life for these villagers. This ministry takes the message of Christ to these villagers as well as building and planting churches.
Greenhouse Project:
This project is focused on helping church families with a better diet and health habits as well as producing a small income for each family.
